Slomin's
Inc. was established in 1923 as a small hardware store located
in Seaford. Jacob Slomin recognized that quality delivery service
of fuel (kerosene in 1923) to customers' homes was a convenience
that he could provide. From that time on, Slomin's has been
committed to every person, family and company they serve for
over 80 years.
Through the years the business has expanded into other "comfort"
services for customers, such as heating oil, heating equipment
service and installation, air conditioning installation and
service and home security. The quality of Slomin's service is
matched only by their dedication to the well-being of their
customers.
Today, Slomin's has one of the largest HVAC divisions on Long
Island. Slomin's understood that customers installing HVAC could
benefit from the incentives that LIPA provided for energy-efficient
measures. Customers would also obtain the long-term benefits
of lower electric use. Slomin's also understood the value of
incentives/energy savings as a valuable sales tool.
For their outstanding participating in LIPAs HVAC program, and
for the highest program participation, Slomin's was awarded
LIPA's Clean Energy Achievement Award for "Highest HVAC
Program Participation in 2004."
Contractors, architects and/or engineering professionals are
eligible to receive prestigious awards from LIPA in two award
programs, "LIPA Trade Ally Partnership" and "LIPA
Clean Energy Achievement" in recognition of their accomplishments
in promoting the practices, principles and development of clean
energy alternatives, electro-technologies, energy solutions
and superior service. At the end of the calendar year, awards
will be presented at the Annual Trade Ally Breakfast. Visit
